We welcome members of Law Enforcement AND those members of the community who wish to celebrate, recognize and honor the contribution of the Irish to Law Enforcement in America, and more specifically the state of Massachusetts.   

In compliance with the bylaws of the Irish American Police Officers Association of Massachusetts, the types of membership of the IAPOA consist of the following: Regular, Associate, Charter, Life and Honorary.  All members have the right to be recognized and to attend any meeting of the membership. New members may only apply for Regular or Associate membership status. All other status are awarded by vote of the Board of Directors and Executive Board.

Regular Member - Any permanent full time or retired law enforcement officer in Massachusetts is eligible to become a Regular Member.  Regular Membership shall be annually automatically renewed upon such terms as the IAPOA Bylaws and the Directors shall establish, including but not limited to dues obligation being current within at least one (1) year.  Regular Members shall each have one (1) vote upon every action to come before the Organization subject to the provisions set forth in the Articles and Bylaws.  Regular Members can hold elective office, propose adoption, amendment, suspension, or repeal of any Bylaw, and vote on the same, subject to the provisions set forth in the Articles and Bylaws.

Associate Member Any permanent full time or retired law enforcement officer outside Massachusetts or any person who is employed in law enforcement (other than a law enforcement officer) regardless of location as determined by the Directors is eligible to become an Associate Member.  Associate Membership shall be automatically renewed annually upon such terms as the IAPOA Bylaws and the Directors shall establish, including but not limited to dues obligation being current within at least one (1) year.  Associate Members shall not be eligible to vote, hold office, or propose adoption, amendment, suspension, or repeal of any Bylaw.

Application Fee: $25.00

Renewal Fee: $20.00 annually.

Membership in the IAPOA of MA is a privilege and not a "right".
